How do I start recording a meeting?
Open TalkBrief, tap the record button on the main screen. The app will begin recording immediately. You can see the recording status in the Dynamic Island (on supported devices) or the status bar.
How long can I record?
TalkBrief supports continuous recording for up to 12 hours per session. Audio is chunked, uploaded in real time, and recovered automatically if the network drops.
How does transcription work?
After recording, the audio is sharded and processed using our Mandarin + English optimized ASR engine with speaker diarization and confidence scoring. Longer workshops may take a few extra minutes, but retries run automatically until completion.
How are AI meeting minutes generated?
Once transcription is complete, our Map-Reduce AI pipeline combines each shard, applies your meeting context, and outputs structured summaries with key points, action items, and decisions. Every summary receives a 0-100 quality score and you can regenerate directly from the app.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Your recordings and meeting data are encrypted during transmission and storage. Please review our Privacy Policy for detailed information about data handling.
Can I use the app offline?
You can record meetings offline. Transcription and AI minutes generation resume automatically once the device reconnects.
